Bust, Hit or Stand and Twenty-one
Blackjack is probably one of the easiest casino games that we can now enjoy online. The only thing you need to remember is to know how to add like an Ace and 8 is 19 and an Aces, 9 and a 10 is 20 while two Aces and a 9 is just 11. If you were confused, it would be better to read through this post.
The goal of the game is to beat the dealer. To do this, the player should have a set of cards with a value higher than the value of the dealer’s cards. The twist in the game is that if you get a set of cards higher than twenty-one, you bust and automatically lose.
To begin the game, two cards are given to each player as well as the dealer. Then, the values of the cards are added. Cards 2-9 are treated as the face value while 10, J, Q and K have a value of 10 and the Ace is either 1 or 11. Take note that once you have two aces, you should use the same value for the two.
If the player is not satisfied with his cards, he can choose to “hit”, that is to receive another card. On the other hand, he can choose to “stand” and wait for the other players to stand as well.
The values are compared and the player who gets the value closest to 21 wins. If the player gets a set of cards higher than 21, he busts and loses even though the dealer busts too. But if the dealer busts and the player doesn’t, the player wins!
