There are several poker player professionals that have mastered playing poker both online and in land based games. These poker players have likely been playing the game for a very long time and have taught themselves the difference between playing a face to face game versus those over a computer screen.
There also those players that can either play only an online casino or strictly in land based poker games. The truth of the matter is while the rules of the game remain the same the situation in which you are playing in changes in many ways and makes the game very different.
There are many elements of playing poker face to face that are much different than playing over the internet. When playing poker in a face to face game, players must remember to control all those elements because they can become tells of their game and strategy and can really hurt their actual game. Since poker is not only a game of luck but also a game of knowing and playing your opponent it is important to keep your behavior exactly in the manner that you want to be read.
Many people say that it is easier to play at a casino online if you are used to land based play but not the other way around. Either way if you are an online poker play and plan to play in a land based poker game it is a good idea to practice your actions and play as if you were sitting with other players face to face before entering a big tournament. After all, practice makes perfect.
